The song was the result of a collaboration between Abdou, Shakara Soul and myself. I originally recorded Abdou's vocals when I met and toured with him in the early 2010's and later with Shakara Soul we produced this track. He was a humble and spiritual man who just wanted to spread his music as far as he could. I was very fortunate to have shared some great musical moments with Abdou and ones I will never forget, he asked me only recently to play on his new album which would of course have been an honour and I will truly miss making music with him and also not being able to see my friend again. In my small way I hope this serves as a suitable tribute to a great soul, man and musician. God bless you Abdou.
