Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002)
"Walk Like an Egyptian" is a song recorded by the American band the Bangles. It was released in 1986 as the third single from the album Different Light. It was a million-selling single and became Billboard's number-one song of 1987.
By the way, this is one of the songs featured in the end credits of the movie, 'Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra'. It's a French / Italian fantasy comedy film based on the the comic book series Asterix by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo: Asterix and Cleopatra.
Jovan's video is an extract from the film with a storyline about a challenge between Cleopatra and Caesar to build an Egyptian palace in three months. With help from the Gauls, Asterix, Obelix with Dogmatix and Getafix's magic potion, the Egyptian architect Edifis achieves this on time and is rewarded with gold.
Throughout several feature and animated films and books there is many characters and an amusing draw upon their names and appearances. For instance, look out for Otis 0:15 to 0:16, who has invented the first form of the elevator or lift at 2:53 to 3:24 , there's Dogmatix, Antivirus and the rival architect Artifis renamed Arthritis in the dubbed version. In the film, Mission Cleopatra, you'll also see how the Sphinx lost its nose and look out for the martial arts combat scene between Edifis and Artifis. You'll see the origins of the game, 'rock, paper, scissors'!
With other stories, there's Homeopathix, Justforkix, Unhygienix the fishmonger and Vitalstatistix - the chief of the Gaulish village. There is also cameo character roles such as Sean Connery — who plays the spy Dubbelosix (an obvious parody of James Bond) in Asterix and the Black Gold.
Of course, the Pirates also feature who never have any luck with invading ships, boats and marine vessels whenever Asterix and Obelix are close by. Hence, picking up a job with Otis to operate the lift.
