Linos Wengara Magaya - VaChaminuka - Zimbaremabwe - Zimbabwean Mbira Music

VaChaminuka is a song praising the great prophet and spiritual healer Chaminuka, and calling on his spirit to keep on working for the good of Zimbabwe and bless the world. The song says, "VaChaminuka, you've been gone for a long time, you are the helper, the prophet of the country. Chaminuka, you guide, help, protect and give us strength. Chaminuka, come back for your people and look after them'.
Pasipamire was the last person to be possessed by the spirit of VaChaminuka, this was a long time ago, in the time of Mzilikazi. Since then there have been rumours of the spirit of Chaminuka returning, but Zimbabwe is still waiting for the return of the great prophet and healer, Chaminuka.
Even though Chaminuka is not there possessing anyone, we still talk to his spirit and call his name in our prayers as we believe that his spirit still is with us, hears us and protects us, and will come again in the future.
